Aquatopia Water Park on Hon Thom Island is one of Phu Quoc's standout days out — Southeast Asia's largest water park, with 20+ rides across six themed zones. A little preparation goes a long way. Here's what first-timers should know.
What to pack

Swimwear and a quick-dry towel (bring a spare towel as backup)
Water shoes or non-slip sandals — the paths get slippery
Reef-safe sunscreen and sunglasses for the tropical sun
A waterproof pouch for your phone, cash and cards
A refillable water bottle (refill stations are available)
Cash or card — most stalls take both, smaller vendors may prefer cash
Best time to go

Arrive just before opening to ride the headliners — Cobra Duel, Poseidon's Revenge — with shorter waits
Visit between November and April for the best weather conditions.
Choose sunny days to fully enjoy outdoor water attractions.
Arrive before 10:00 AM to avoid long queues at popular rides.
Visit on weekdays for a less crowded experience.
Check the weather forecast before your trip, especially during the rainy season (May–October).
Park rules worth knowing

Standard swimwear only on the slides — no loose or long-sleeved clothing for safety
Life jackets are provided for children and non-swimmers, and required in deep zones
No outside food or drinks; snacks and meals are sold inside
Follow the posted height, weight and health rules at each ride
Getting there and tickets

You reach the park on the Hon Thom cable car, and entry to Aquatopia is included in that cable car ticket — so there's nothing separate to buy at the gate.
The easiest way to plan it is with a local operator. Rooty Trip combines the cable car, park entry and transport in one package, with guides to help at check-in. Full guide and booking: https://rootytrip.vn/aquatopia-water-park-phu-quoc/
